Upon arrival for my initial treatment I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, the nurse and the consultant and made to feel at ease. Everything was explained expertly by Jen (nurse) and Mr Ahmed El-Basty (who was doing the vascular surgery). Because I was having EVLA to 5 veins, the process took about two and a half hours. Both Jen and Ahmed were attentive at all times, patient and understanding and Jen talked to me the whole way through, a distraction that was very welcome! My aftercare explanation was brilliant and I felt very safe in everyone's hands. My follow up was equally as first class and again, Ahmed was considerate and professional, yet kind and attentive and Jen was reassuring and chatty. I was made to feel very comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The vein surgeon (Mr Lasantha Wijesinghe), was very approachable, and efficient. I had complete confidence in his ability. Similarly the nursing staff, particularly the first two I saw who made me feel at ease. The third one was obviously very good at her job, but not quite so patient-friendly, and ran through directions/instructions a little too quickly and dismissively given the situation, without taking into account that the patient has just been through a surgical procedure, and is possibly not in the first flush of youth!
One constructive suggestion I would make is that cushions are provided in the waiting area as the sofas are far too deep for most women to sit comfortably!
It has been a good experience given that it is inevitably not a particularly pleasant experience!

Sorry for delay in returning reveiw i am very happy with my treatment done on my leg big thank you to Dr Mark and team who made me relaxed always listen to me during my treatment and explained everything to me step by step and most of all put me first lovely people i would not hesitate to recommend to my friends and family

Excellent service from initial contact to treatment
I was very concerned about having treatment having put it off for years but the clinic
was amazing.
Receptionist Anne Marie was very friendly and makes a lovely coffee !
Dr Bratby was very clear on what he was doing and the Nurse was able to put my mind at ease during all the procedures - neither were as bad as I expected.
The results so far have been great and I wore shorts for the first time in years on a recent holiday
I would not hesitate in recommending the Veincentre

Very welcoming centre. Treatment I was going to receive was explained well during my initial consultation which was thorough.
First treatment went well but had a couple of issues after a couple of weeks. Received good aftercare to put my mind at rest.
Final treatment quick and easy
Very good staff made me feel comfortable and reassured me regarding any nerves I had

I have just finished my treatment at the Vein Centre in Southampton and I must say what a lovely team they are. From the minute I walked through the door the staff were very very welcoming, attentive and informative. The treatment has certainly moved on from the old stripping of veins and extremley non invasive - its a little unconfortable but nothing painful but I guess that is just me as an individual, everyone is different. There are no hidden pricing elements so you are perfectly clear on the fees. I really dont think there is anything I could suggest to improve on, just great great service. I would highly recommend the Vein Centre in Southampton, it really has changed my life for the better with fantastic results, thank you to all of the team xxx
